We currently have an exciting new opportunity for a Business Analyst with extensive Agile experience (particularly Scrum) to work with internal customers building the software fundamental to the running of the business.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Build business cases for major project work focusing on value delivered and effort estimates. Then facilitate and run workshops to identify and prioritise functionality
  • Expand these features into epics and user stories, adding to the backlog smaller BAU requirements. Stories will detail system behaviour with structured acceptance criteria. Then manage the various stakeholders to prioritise the backlog which will span multiple business functions
  • Create process maps to aid communication of more complex epics and user stories using Visio
  • Propose and participate in continuous improvement initiatives that improve the team’s output
  • Help define sprint goals and facilitate Agile ceremonies to ensuring objectives are met


Skills and Experience

We are looking for an experienced BA / Systems Analyst - a first class communicator, able to translate business requirements into technical specifications.

  • You must have a strong software background, having worked with complex systems ideally involving some of the following:
    • Domain knowledge of ITIL, IT Service Desks, IT Operations or IT Asset Management
    • Java, PHP, Microservices or SQL
    • Working with distributed onshore and offshore software developers
    • Jira
  • Proven ability to work independently at a detailed level with limited supervision as well as working effectively as part of a team
  • Excellent written and verbal communications, organisation and planning skills. Strong attention to detail. Must be able to solve problems, with a desire to do what is right and not what is easy.
