We are seeking a Cloud DevOps Engineer to be part of a new product offering to our rapidly growing client base.

Key Responsibilities:

The DevOps engineer will create cloud formation templates to build Cloud services that support our customer deployments across our public and private cloud products and services. You will need to deploy / manage / support customer solutions in line with our public cloud service offering. Working at a fast pace of change in support of rapid deployments and using script development to build a technical library for enhancing deployment and support capabilities across public and private cloud products.

  • Implementation of deployment and operation automation
  • Aid in the creation and on-going management of new DevOps processes
  • Provide support and advice for sales and proposition teams
  • Act as a client-facing contact, in both our projects and managed services functions
  • Development of the tools and processes required to maintain stability and performance of large-scale distributed systems in the cloud
  • Responsibility to work in the full lifecycle of design, build, release, deployment, support and configuration activities
  • Ensure best practices are adhered to with internal projects, and enable customers to use best practices when making any changes to their environments
  • Production of internal technical documentation and the review of client technical documentation
  • Work closely with the Product and Propositions team in the selection of industry best practice technologies in support of the Hybrid Cloud product and service portfolio
  • Available to participate in on-call support rotation

Skills & Experience:

  • Essential experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) architecture (Azure & GCP experience desirable)
  • Certified AWS DevOps / SysOps / Developer desirable
  • Strong software development & scripting skills/experience
  • Solid experience with cloud technologies and toolsets such as; CloudFormation, Elasticsearch, Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Jenkins, Docker, Git and Kubernetes
  • Familiar NCSC cloud security principles
  • Linux experience
  • Continuous integration, Automation/Config Management and source control
  • Continuous delivery in a fast-changing environment
  • Agile environment (Scrum and/or Kanban)
