We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic individual with either IT Technical Support or data centre experience -  to be responsible for 1st level data centre support to external and internal customers, assisting them with server, application, desktop, networking and hardware problems and standard change requests via phone, email and fax.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Responsible for proactive updating of customer and resolution of service on broad range of technical issues
  • Co-operate and work closely with all members of the support team to ensure efficient, productive and high quality technical support and customer service to customers within the Pulsant live Data Centre.
  • Provide expert cabling support including crimping, patching, labelling, running and terminating. 
  • Act as an immediate escalation point for DC Support Engineers when required.
  • Troubleshoot hardware faults and arrange replacements.
  • Install and decommission redundant equipment and cabling.
  • Provide cabling and hardware support.



Required skills & experience


  • Experience working as a Tech Support,  Data Centre Support Engineer, or in a similar role.
  • Experience providing high levels of customer service in an IT or similar industry.
  • Computer hardware troubleshooting experience.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Hardware, builds / swap outs, desktops, servers, data and power cabling, rack systems etc.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of cabling.
  • Good knowledge and understanding of troubleshooting.
  • Understanding of basic networking concepts.
