The Director of Information & Cyber Security is the most senior role responsible for Information Security and Cyber Security across Pulsant.  You will be accountable for protecting both Pulsant’s business and our customers business from security threats and vulnerabilities.  Responsible for creating, setting and ensuring adherence to our Information Security strategy and management of the total security threat landscape. This includes responsibility for effective cyber security management and driving relevant improvement programmes, ensuring these are clearly understood and met company wide.

 

In addition to the ongoing cyber security management responsibilities, you will also be responsible for ensuring our propositions, solutions, projects and services effectively meet IS Security standards, aligned with best practice for our industry, and ensuring our contractual obligations are met, minimising any potential Information security vulnerabilities and threats for our customers.  This includes defining the technical security standards and tools required in order to deliver security by design in our solutions and services to our customers as well as across Pulsant’s own infrastructure and systems.

 

Key Responsibilities include:

 

  • Provide input and direction to the Executive Leadership Team and the Pulsant business in relation to IT & Cyber Security risks and best practice in our industry and, working closely with the Pulsant Assurance team, address the regulatory and statutory compliance requirements and industry best practice
  • Lead the creation, implementation and delivery of an effective Information & Cyber Security strategy for Pulsant including creation and on-going management of all related Policies and Procedures, delivery, measurement and reporting
  • Management and leadership of the Information & Cyber Security function, ensuring the operational delivery of all aspects of security are met
  • Ensuring that Pulsant is equipped with the right tools and skills in relation to all aspects of IT security in order to protect and deliver a great service to Pulsant’s customers

 

Required Skills & Experience

 

  • Must be forward thinking and keep abreast of emerging IS & Cyber Security risks and the changing threat landscape facing UK companies
  • Extensive experience at enterprise level of implementing an effective security strategy to protect both business and customer assets and information in a regulated industry and/or IT service provider
  • A confident senior leader with the personable skills to empower and inspire teams and IS Security practitioners and have a trusted position within the company and with customers.
  • Technical/Information Security Degree or equivalent experience plus at least two of the following:
    • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
    • CompTIA Security+
    • Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)
    • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)
    • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)
    • NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NCSF)
    • Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI)
