Pulsant owns 10 UK data centres and has three core corporate offices locations in Edinburgh, Newcastle and Maidenhead.


Due to continued expansion and client demand, an exciting opportunity has arisen to lead the End User Computing service.  The Corporate IT team supports the internal corporate infrastructure used by Pulsant’s staff to carry out their work. The End User Computing Lead will work with the Director to create the end user technology roadmap, plan and execute projects, manage incidents and service requests.


Key Responsibilities:


  • Define and execute End User Computing technology roadmap.
  • Manage End User Computing capacity requirements.
  • Manage the End User Computing security environment.
  • Provide support on End User Computing including servers, networking, telecom, virtualisation and applications.
  • Develop and maintain appropriate technical/operational standards and quality assurance processes for monitoring team output and ensuring delivery of tasks to agreed standards and within deadlines and budgets.
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of all End User devices such as laptops, desktops and telephony.
  • Control the proper change control procedures in relation to major End User configuration changes.
  • Undertake problem analysis and troubleshooting as necessary and take remedial action to recover from any degradation in service.
  • Building positive relationships with third part suppliers to make sure we are getting the best service possible.
  • Taking a lead on all key End User projects, and deployment of End User technology stack and component items. 


Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience of End User Computing and operating system deployment technologies including the following:
  • Office 365 (Identity, OneDrive, Exchange, SharePoint and Microsoft  such Teams) including administration, configuration and migration.
  • Windows Hello for Business
  • Windows Autopilot
  • Microsoft InTune,
  • System Centre Configuration Lead(SCCM) and Application Packaging,
  • Azure technologies including Azure Active Directory.
  • Windows Server platforms
  • VMWare virtualisation
  • Microsoft Office applications
  • An understanding of networking including experience with VPN solutions such as Cisco Anyconnect
  • Experience of Microsoft security tooling such as Sentinel, Advanced Threat Protection, Defender End Point Protection and Office 365 Security
  • Excellent understanding in application of ITIL
