This is an outstanding opportunity to join the company as a key member of the sales team - and during an exciting time for our business.  As a Regional Sales Director, your role will be to create, maintain, manage and motivate an effective Client Account Management team – ensuring excellent customer service, client satisfaction and project revenue target achievement.  Your focus be our customers in Scotland and the North East of England.


In addition to other key tasks, your remit will be to:


  • Lead a team of Client Managers – whose role it is to build, maintain, develop and manage client relationships with existing and / or new customers.
  • Work with the Operations team to determine how best to manage customers, engagement and improve retention rates. 
  • Create strategies for the team to drive revenue growth and reduce potential revenue losses.
  • Develop account plans and identify opportunities to provide additional services/products to allow customers to execute against their business strategies.
  • Be a point of escalation, both commercially and service, for the customers and Client Managers for complex service delivery issues.
  • Deliver proposals to renew contracts and generate incremental Monthly Reoccurring Revenue and Annual Order Value for the business.
  • Assist with tender responses/Request for Information/Request for Proposal.
  • Identify, highlight and forecast revenue at risk and churn.
  • Regular liaison with the CSO, internal marketing, inside sales and external marketing agencies to assist delivery of in-bound leads for the team to allow for account.
  • Mentoring, coaching, management support and development including appraisals, evaluations and reporting of individual performance targets for your direct reports, plus oversight of their direct reports.
  • Performance monitoring and setting and reporting of the teams KPIs, targets and goals to Board of Directors and wider company as required.


Skills & Experience


We are seeking an experienced sales professional with extensive commercial experience as a Sales Leader within the IT / Technology sector in one of the following: colocation, hosting, cloud, managed services or professional services industry.  Additionally you should be able to demonstrate:

  • Significant experience of working in a sales solutions selling environment within the IT/ Technology sector.
  • New business development and / or account management in the sales environment.
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving, or exceeding targets (evidenced).
  • Proven experience of strategic selling at Technical or CXO Level.
  • Strong B2B full life cycle solutions sales experience.
  • Extensive experience of leading and operating in virtual team environment.
  • Computer literate and proficient in Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook.
  • Previous senior leader / Sales Management experience in the relevant geographies.
