We are currently seeking an experienced Bid Management professional to provide expert support to key internal and external customers both directly and indirectly to ensure customer growth and, as a result, Company profitability.  This role significantly contributes to the objective of broadening Pulsant’s footprint within the existing client base and successfully winning new clients through the provision of market leading bid submissions.  

You will act as the owner of all bid and proposal content within the Pulsant Bid Management Team, and the primary point of contact for all inbound formal framework, bid and proposal support requests.  T

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

  • To develop and maintain Company bid strategy including overseeing the bid process lifecycle from identification of tenders to the completed response
  • To initiate, plan and manage bid submission projects including reviewing/monitoring the progress of responses, resolving and escalating issues and problems as they arise
  • To work primarily with Sales Managers and the broader sales team to analyse requirements of incoming bid and proposal requests and assign the Company response accordingly
  • To proactively develop and maintain a central knowledge base of documentation and information as well as a network of subject matter experts relating to Company services delivered
  • To rewrite and/or edit proposal response from a variety of stakeholders, typically involving contributions from sales, marketing, solutions architects, propositions, finance, commercial, legal and operations
  • To assign response section to the relevant technical owners and create virtual bid teams as required

 

Skills & Experience

 

  • Substantial experience as a Technical Author, Bid Manager or similar within a Managed Service provider, Systems Integrator, Network Integrator, Service Provider or similar organisation 
  • Considerable experience in the expert use of document processing software applications
  • Considerable experience within ISO 27001/9001/20000 compliant environments 
  • Considerable experience of handling, preparing and securely managing Protectively Marked documentation, requiring government SC security clearance 
  • Good understanding of CRM and Sales processes including when Bid Management is assigned to an opportunity
