As a SQL Database Administrator, you will work within Pulsant’s 3rd Line Support team based in either Newcastle and Edinburgh providing DB support to customers with services in AWS.
3rd Line Support engineers are required to work business hours plus on-call if required and are responsible for supporting a wide range of Pulsant services for customers both remotely and onsite, following ITIL best practices.
The purpose of SQL DBA is to act as an escalation point for Pulsant’s 2nd Line Support teams as well as to liaise with the Platform support teams to maximise availability of services and to ensure that requests and incidents are dealt with professionally and quickly, continually improving customer response, resolution and service availability.
This is a customer facing role and as such, excellent communication and service ethos is mandatory.
